What personality type is Nora Malakian? Nora Malakian is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sx/sp - 729 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.
Nora constantly shows a desire to escape reality and serious situations through sensory activity. Her preference to smoke cigarettes and do drugs, as well as engaging in the physical nature of a band, could express Se. We see this even as an adult, where she would prefer to play a game of pool than talk about things. She's constantly trying to downplay what happened and forget about the meanings. Even her job as an adult is fashion design, which could indeed be an Ne style job, but aesthetics themselves are highly Se in nature. Not to mention, when recalling her past self, she does seem to criticise her 'poor skin' and weird hair, highlighting her potential focus on sensory appearance. She doesn't seem to caught up in possibilities, as she seems convinced in becoming a rockstar, which could be inf Ni at play, especially in contrast to Autumn who is an auxiliary Ni user who could predict that their band would be unlikely to succeed. Esfps and Enfps both share tert Te, so there is no argument as she could develop this function either way. Unlike Swann and even Kat, she doesn't seem preoccupied with putting words on her feelings and instead looks to her Se to express her Fi, as she does so with her makeup and altering her physical appearance. In the band, her lyrics are meaningless and quite ridiculous, expressing a lack of meaning that Kat attempts to make up for but still essentially fails as she is guided by her Fi which causes her to be immature as her other functions are ignored (other than Se). However, one thing that does cause me to question whether Nora is truly an ESFP is her reluctance oftentimes to do things. She is hesitant and afraid of consequences. I could argue that this is due to a lack of Ni, as she is uncomfortable with predicting the future, she is also uncomfortable in engaging in scenarios where she does not know what will happen. Of course, she is only really hesitant in certain situations such as crossing the log, which might indicate a fear of heights and has no relevance to actual typology. Anyway, so far I conclude that Nora must be an ESFP.
