Na Hyeong Oh MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Na Hyeong Oh? Na Hyeong Oh is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - - 926 in Enneagram, in Big 5, EII in Socionics.
Hey, so I just finished reading it all, so here are my thoughts on what I think his type might be, even if to be fair, I feel like the characters tend to be quite "shallow" (it felt more like actions following one another if that makes any sense?), and most of time, we see his behaviour, not really the thought process behind it, but hey, still let me try :D. Also, I don't really like when profiles have votes, but no comment explaining it so x) Let's start of by his enneagram, which is the one thing I'm fairly sure of, even if I'm quite surprised to see him typed as a 6w5 to be fair. He spent the entire of the story constantly neglecting his own feeling because he didn't want to disturb the peace, and constantly pretended he was alright, not only saying that he didn't need help to Namsoo, but also to himself : we see him several times once he's alone in his bedroom that he keeps repeating to himself that "it's fine", and that "everything's alright". He keeps avoiding any negative emotions, and just distanced himself from everyone, whether it is Namsoo, his mom etc. Slowly, he starts avoiding school altogether if I remember quite well as well, and in general, his response tend is to be avoidant. Eventually, all of this "everything's alright", built to his suicide attempt, on the rooftop, before he gets stopped by Namsoo. This is where he finally lets his emotions out, crying. Eventually, he explains to Namsoo, still on the rooftop, that he didn't necessarely understand why some kids starting bullying him, but that he "endured". I think that all of this points out more to a 9 core, rather than a 6. I definitely do not think he's a counterphobic 6, but he spent almost the entirety of the manwha avoiding and refusing Namsoo's help altogether until that point. Wouldn't a 6 core have give in before that, because they would have wanted someone to rely on and to show them the way, the light in the darkness ? Yet, he kept refusing anyone's help (including that girl's one as well, my bad I don't remember her name, but the one who was kind to him and with black short hair, and who has a friend who has a huge crush on Namsoo). Even of the rooftop, at first when Namsoo tried to stop him, he just yelled at him to leave him alone. His answer to people's helping him, was to avoid them, because he thought that it would only result in more trouble for them, he considered his own existence as a possibly source of trouble for other, hence he distanced himself from everyone so at least the others could be at peace, and also wouldn't worry (ex: his mom). It all really screams that he's a 9 core to me, even if, don't get me wrong, I do think he has a 6, and possibly a 2 as well, in his tritype. I didn't point it out yet, but I'd like to now : what made him stay, and finally let all the emotions out during his suicide attempt, was Namsoo telling him "Don't die, okay?", while showing him he cared about him, since he was crying as well. He wanted to be know that he was needed, and that was what got him, to let Namsoo in, which makes me think of a 2. Finally, after finally opening up to Namsoo, he's reassured by the fact that Namsoo keeps telling him that he's going "to help him", finally, he accepts someone's help, and that someone will show him the way, and feels reassured by it, he doesn't even feel like killing himself anymore. He's okay with relying on others now. EDIT : I re-read some of the notes I took in order to type him a bit, and thinking about it, I also think that the person who typed him as a 6 before my have typed him this way because he seems to disintegrate into one (begining of the chapter 38, before Namsoo comes to his house with the gifts), which by the way, it must be the ony time we hear his thoughts as well youhou x) ! Anyway, I think that him thinking "Am I being.. Selfish" again shows that he completely disregards his needs, let alone that it can either be his 1 wing acting right there, or possibly his fi showing up, but the few lines after, makes me think of the 6 disintegration : "Maybe some things can't be helped.. I guess I should listen to mom". He starts to let his mom chooses whether he should stay at home or not, before "after all, I (he) can't go back". At this point, he has been missing school for quite a while, and this scene happens a few chapters after his suicide attempt as well, so hey, I don't think I'm getting too ahead of myself if I'm saying that he definitely wasn't at the best, quite the contrary actually ^^. Yet, the fact that his main coping mechanism was avoidance, still makes me believe it's a 9 disintegrating into a 6, and that he isn't a 6 core, even if he does have a 6 in his tritype. (1/2)
