Nicole MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Nicole? Nicole is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/sx - 784 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.

Nicole is definitely ES > IT. Something that people often forget when looking at someone's cognitive functions is whether that person fits into what is recognized as "rational" or "irrational". In the Jungian system of the personality types, the distinction between rational and irrational relies on the fact that some cognitive functions attain to process information through evaluation –the rational ones– and others just process what already is –the irrational ones–. Jung identifies as rational functions both feeling and thinking ones, because both functions process information following some kind of reasoning. This reasoning could be devoted to logical discrimination (thinking) or values motivated by sentiment of likes and dislikes (feeling), but both follow a consistent reasoning after all. Therefore, the rational functions according to Jung are Extroverted Feeling, Extroverted Thinking, Introverted Feeling and Introverted Thinking. In the other hand, what we call irrational functions are the ones that refer to perception. As Daryl Sharp states in 𝑃𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑇𝑦𝑝𝑒𝑠: 𝐽𝑢𝑛𝑔'𝑠 𝑀𝑜𝑑𝑒𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝑇𝑦𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑦: ❝the term irrational, as applied to the functions of sensation and intuition, does not mean illogical or unreasonable, but rather beyond or outside of reason. The physical perception of something does not depend on logic –things just are❞. Thus, this means that the irrational functions lack the devotion to reasoning that defines a rational function. This does not mean a person that prefers an irrational function is irrational in the common sense of the word, as stated above, but instead that it is not their preferred cognitive process. They instead process information that is already there instead of evaluating it, without needing a consistent formula to do so. Thus, the irrational functions are the perceiving ones: Extroverted Sensing, Extroverted Intuition, Introverted Sensing and Introverted Intuition. When do we even see Nicole follow a logical formula in a consistent way? IT for her makes no sense when you really look at her character from a wide perspective, precisely because all she ever does is whatever she wants in the present moment. Taking action only according to the current parameters, organizing people, moving them around as necessary and guide them in achieving a specific goal only according to what the sensation is in the present moment. To take action only when it is convenient for her and only attending to the current features of the situation, to think at the moment whether to go to class or not, to be able to change her mind only given the current conditions. All this not only points to irrationality, but is also a clear indication that ES is her dominant function. Think about the route that lead to the imprisonment of the white nationalist photography teacher and then leads to one of the best endgames for her: how did she use her cognitive process to operate and get her results? Did she think persistently and thoroughly about what her plans were going to be, or did she just see what worked best for her at the moment? She didn't even know where her actions were going to take her and acted according to what she saw, the concrete data she had in hand. ES is fully dependant on objects to operate and that is exactly Nicole's modus operandi throughout the whole game: she only pays attention to the external aspects of life.
