Personality

What personality type is Klemens von Metternich? Klemens von Metternich is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - so/sx - 583 in Enneagram, in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

Sorry, but he wasn't INTJ at all. Once his behavior at the Habsburg court in Vienna indicates a strong (Ne-Ti). Most probably an ENTP modus operandi; and this trait is evidenced in his decision-making ability, both in the private and public sphere. In short: the man was a performer, perfectly able to blend in with any situation. (I can't imagine an INTJ doing that for a long time without becoming angry or anxious).

Biography

Klemens Wenzel Nepomuk Lothar, Prince of Metternich-Winneburg zu Beilstein (German: Klemens Wenzel Nepomuk Lothar Fürst von Metternich-Winneburg zu Beilstein; 15 May 1773 – 11 June 1859) was an Austrian diplomat who was at the center of European affairs for four decades as the Austrian Empire's foreign minister from 1809 and Chancellor from 1821 until the liberal Revolutions of 1848 forced his resignation. Born into the House of Metternich in 1773 as the son of a diplomat, Metternich received a good education at the universities of Strasbourg and Mainz. Metternich rose through key diplomatic posts, including ambassadorial roles in the Kingdom of Saxony, the Kingdom of Prussia, and especially Napoleonic France. One of his first assignments as Foreign Minister was to engineer a détente with France that included the marriage of Napoleon to the Austrian archduchess Marie Louise.
