What personality type is Enver Gortash? Enver Gortash is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sp - 358 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
Doesn't seem to have dominant intuition, seems to care more about reasons. Rather than being a natural with people, he has to propagandize, sleep with, manipulate, coerce, and "get rid of" people to get to the top, so ENFJ is out for me, not that high Fe can't do that, but Gortash seems literally incapable of understanding that people don't need to be manipulated to be won over, it seems like everything he does is a scheme or a plot, not something natural to him, like he studied How To Have Power 101 for 2 decades to seem like he has natural charisma but he learned it all through books and practice. I was thinking he might be ENTP, but I don't see him being an intuitive dom, as much as a thinker who enjoys figuring out how things work, especially how things work in regards to people, whom he treats as machines. Put x in, get y out. "The people need a ruler because they can't rule themselves so I will rule them." is a Te line of thinking, in that it prioritizes what the people's reasons and "their" logic for being ruled is, even if it's wrong. Said differently, "I will rule the people because they are cattle who need to be subdued and would surely perish without me." would be Te used to justify tyranny based on the logic of what the collective wants in his mind. Ti would say "I want to rule the people because I want to be king", using the self's own reason to justify the action. He spends so much time trying to seduce his way to the top because he thinks that's what people need to be seduced, that's an overabundant Te, and considering he surely is not a mentally healthy and positive individual, that Te is probably on overdrive and ruling his life. MF is trying to think and grow rich his way to success by manipulating every little thing he sees. Fi - what matters to me. What do I value. Surely in an unhealthy individual we can see where this leads. Ni aux - the entire absolute plot, let's become gods of all Toril baby wahooo, I mean this one explains itself. Let's get really, really deep in on the idea of tyranny and power and control. In an evil person, the root is fear. He could have gone down the rabbit hole of healing, but then we'd have no sexy villain to think about. He went down the rabbit hole of Banite propaganda instead. From my Solas post: 'To quote LaserSharksInc on reddit about Ni, "Ni wants a perfect world and will do everything in its power to create that world."' To me, this Banite is another Ni user and doesn't use the ENTP Ne. I think it's an easy diagnosis for this one.
Biography
Enver Gortash was the Chosen of Bane who played a role in the Absolute crisis during the late 15th century DR. He created the Steel Watch, an army of clockwork sentinels that would "protect" the city of Baldur's Gate, while at the same time scheming to ascend as its tyrannical ruler.
