[1/4] ❀❀ WHY LIFEWEAVER IS AN SO7 ❀❀ i understand the 4 consensus, truly. lifeweaver talks a great deal about anti-uniformity and authenticity, after all. but... i think that niran is an so7 with a 4 fix. and to make it clear, i am NOT voting so7 just because niran is a generally optimistic-sounding guy. alright? alright. cool. see, as far as i understand it, this is the core of his character - "LOOK AT THIS AWESOME IDEAL OF SOCIETY I'M STRIVING TOWARD 🤩 i'm rationalizing my Running Away With Biolight with this grand amazing plan of how good i am for wanting to heal the world". i sourced some of the description from here. the pdb wiki is... excessively negative. https://www.ashliewoods.com/enneagram-social-seven REBELLION ❀ "The social E7 will look anything but a rebel. At least not a dangerous rebel. But we must not forget that their relationship with their parental figures is tinged with manipulation, fraudulence, and a secret feeling of being above them. Thus, the general rebellion of the social E7 occurs with everything that limits him, frustrates him, makes him put his feet on the ground, or contains him. It is a rebellion that will hardly appear directly, since he is terrified of conflict." ❀ "In this very mental character, one of his favorite rebellions is the intellectual one. In her, the non-assumption of intellectual authorities, added to her difficulty in delving into concepts, generates a certain wandering and multi-knowledge at the service of her wanting to look extraordinary. It seems that he is more interested in impressing his interlocutor than letting himself be touched by the knowledge he acquires. The concepts acquired on the fly turn them into weapons of seduction and of rebellion." ❀ "Rebelliousness: A rebellious attitude is necessary for self-indulgence in a repressive society. There is a non-conventional orientation along with a contrarian behavior towards authority, although diplomatic rather than oppositional. The rebellion implied in equalitarianism and a non-hierarchical view also applies on an intellectual level: there is no elevation of intellectual authorities, thus every new system and perspective is embraced with enthusiastic excitement, only to then have its contents "spit out undigested" by activation of rebellious criticism, covertly taking authority in attacking its debilities and presenting oneself as impressive while assuming the garb of modesty." you don't need me to tell you that niran is a bit of a rebel, i'm sure- but his style of rebellion is quite SO7-esque. ❀ "From a young age, he resisted the structured life they had planned for him. He preferred wandering his compound's vast walled garden, mending plants alongside his family’s gardeners. Even early on, he was too intelligent for the expensive schools his family could afford. He often completed assignments incorrectly (his teachers often complained) by solving problems more thoroughly than was necessary, or in new ways that hinted at his brilliant future. His parents, desperate to instill order in Niran, sent him to the prestigious Vishkar Architech Academy." ❀ "A perfect world is a perfect prison. They taught us that uniformity is strength, like links in a chain. That there was a formula for success that we all must follow. But...I've never been much of a follower." Doomfist: You are bold to stand against Vishkar on your own. Lifeweaver: I'm not alone. The scientific community is on my side! Doomfist: It would be wise not to count on that for long. niran's not openly rebellious or anything. rather, he's doing what he pleases, quietly. it really is an SO7-esque 'intellectual rebellion'- he'd solve problems incorrectly (by doing them in a way he finds better), and he would quietly wander rather than openly and brashly disobeying. even if they're not exactly aggressive, 4s *are* a reactive type and can be quite individualistic, stubborn, and even defensive in some cases if their sense of identity is threatened. it usually takes a high 9 fix for a 4 to be quite as passive and non-confrontational about everything as niran sees to be, but it's pretty obvious that niran's 7 and 4 fixes are stronger than his 9 fix... so, this rebellion seems more like an SO7 pushing against the things that limit and contain him, rather than a 4 trying to assert their identity in a disagreeing environment. he feels safe enough to rebel against vishkar at all because he feels he's not alone, or has to rationalize that he isn't- typical SO7 move.
