Howdy Pillar MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Howdy Pillar? Howdy Pillar is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.
>Honestly, I've always been confused by how superficially the fandom sees Howdy. "The kind neighbor-caterpillar" - turns out that's just the upper crust of the iceberg!! This breakdown is an attempt to finally see Howdy as he really is: a pragmatic, loud, and very enterprising character. Many mistakenly type him as "Reserved", simply because he's always "sitting in the shop". People saw that and got too lazy to dig deeper, forgetting that extraversion and the letter S (Social) aren't about where you are, but about where your energy is directed. And all of Howdy's energy is directed outward! He doesn't just "hang around" in the store; he actively interacts, turns every sale into a show, and (almost) willingly welcomes a noisy "camp" of relatives into his little shop. And you're telling me that's the behavior of a restrained introvert?? 🥲🤓 (ESFJ, EF(S)): A combination of stormy emotions (Fe) and control over material space (Si). HOWDY: "Clear the tables, clear the aisles, And let ‘em all come through! And I’ll get us all ready for a Holiday Hullabaloo!" >He instantly rearranges the physical environment to organize a collective celebration. His life is about caring for the needs of others through active action! (2w3, so/sp): Ambitious patron. Helps everyone, but through the prism of his own success and indispensability. HOWDY: "My mother and my pop! ...Bankrolled me sellin’ lemonade when I was only two!" >The social subtype makes him the "owner of the little town Home". Achievements (w3) have been important to him since the cradle, but he uses his shop as a way to be needed (2) by his whole family and neighbors. (279): Inexhaustible positivity, avoidance of deep drama, and tolerance. HOWDY: "(With a small huff of frustration) Ain’t that just like family? But I love ‘em both to pieces!" >He may grumble about the mess, but the 9 in his tritype makes him accept people as they are ("Now, Latter here’s a poet, or at least that’s what he says! ...But he’s family, through and through!"), and the 7 turns any irritation into fun ("Holiday Hullabaloo!"). EFVL: (1E): Howdy lives through feelings and creates a show. HOWDY: "I love happy endings! (Crying and blowing into a handkerchief). >His emotions are loud and sincere (just remember his laugh). (2F): He is a master of his craft and the material world. HOWDY: "My stocks are green and this business is mean!" >He virtuosically manages goods, loves to work, and knows exactly how to profit from everything. (3V): Julie in "Sweet Briar" was cheerfully sweeping the floor and humming, swinging the broom too close to him. Howdy reacted instantly and rather sharply. This shows that even his kindness has a limit. As soon as someone (even sweet Julie) encroaches on his territory or interferes with his business, the "kind uncle" instantly turns into a grumpy and harsh proprietor, defending his sovereignty. (4L): Howdy doesn't waste time on empty theorizing. He cares about results and practicality, not complex theories or philosophy. For example, Howdy is irritated by Frank's manner of overcomplicating everything. To him, Frank is an anti-client. He doesn't appreciate the show, doesn't fall for the jokes, and demands logic where Howdy just wants to "sell and have a laugh". SCOAI: Extraversion, stress resistance, and workaholism. HOWDY: "Not rain, not sleet, not snow... Nothing closes up Howdy’s before the workday is done!" (S): Constant!!! interaction. Like hell he could be "R"COAI. I refuse to believe it. (C): Composure during setbacks: After almost all the characters suddenly fall asleep in "Sweet Briar", Howdy doesn't panic. He quickly assesses the situation, decides it's not so bad, and constructs an entire plan involving putting up flyers to search for a prince. (O): Fanatical discipline at work. (A): Familial nature. (I): Howdy is a show-lover, he doesn't just present his product to the customer, he does it creatively: "Howdy turned Frank’s head and gave it a spin... in the direction of the nicest chair this side of the neighborhood... And a cupholder! Don’t forget the cupholder! She’s even got reclining functionality! Go on, Frank, have a seat! On the house!", "I got the perfect thing to put on Home to get him ready for the season and it’ll only cost you a ligh-hearted chuckle! Ta-da!" Lawful Neutral: His life is governed by a strict code and rules: work ethic, the family code, and the trade cycle: Howdy believes in the system. Even in the fairytale "Sweet Briar", he sees the "seller - buyer" structure. >Why is he (Neutral) and not (Good)? A Good character sacrifices themselves for others. Howdy, on the other hand, is a merchant to the marrow of his bones - pragmatic and pushy. He's not (Evil): He sincerely loves his parents, takes care of his nephews, and holds no grudge against those who out-argue him. He doesn't want to cause harm, he wants to make a deal. (Chaos) outright frightens him, because he's a lover of order!! 🍎🐛
