Neal Cassady MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Neal Cassady? Neal Cassady is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/so - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.

I wouldn't go into detail on its cognitive functions because its ESTP nature is pretty obvious. His Se and Ti are extremely apparent. One might argue that he may be showing Ni to some extent in his writing style, but I would suggest that the whole theme of finding Ni in your Se-fueled existence is sort of the theme of the entire Beat generation (compare him to tertiary Ni of Jack Kerouac and Jack Gilbert) At first I would like to spill a few words about his enneagram. Self-Preservation Eight is generally describes as fixated on satisfaction, antisocial, centered around survival, but less intense than Sexual Eight. Cassady's long list of crimes committed mostly to gain money, thrill or momentary satisfaction proves that he is not a Self-Preservation Seven, which too may be interested in life of crime, but generally more fixated with networking and gaining profitable opportunities. Neal showed little interest in either of these things. His AP type is most likely FLVE. His confident and overindulged 1F is quite evident. Especially when you consider that Afanasiev wrote about the connection between physics function and crime. His 2L is evident in his relationship with the intellectuals of the Beat generation: Neal, although not a particularly intellectual person, was strongly interested in literature and philosophy. He was passionate about discussing this things and learning new ones, which is evident from the way he was portrayed in the works of other authors. To describe his 3V I would just quote this: "Neal, having been raised in the slums of Denver amongst the world's lost men, determined to make more of himself, to become somebody, to be worthy and respected". Last but not least, his 4E. Being interested in art from the point of view of 2L, he showed practically no need for self-expression in this area. Like most 4Es, he was quite charismatic, but had no desire to artistically convey his worldview. This largely explains why he had almost no writings.
