They claim her sense of superiority is present regardless which is not true, she literally can't stand being anything else than number one and falls into shame when she's not, her sense of worth is dependent on her status, just because she's outwardly haughty doesn't mean she thinks of herself as great no matter what, her sense of greatness needs to be confirmed by external standards. E3 acts very arrogant while internally being extremely insecure. E2 gives love to receive love, it pleases others and creates the image of someone good, kind and loving. It is in no way driven by a desire to achieve and fulfill some qualities of success to feel worth, that's the domain of E3. Sx2 wants to posses a partner, to seduce them and form intense emotional bonds. What does that have to do with her character?
