Simon Peter MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Simon Peter? Simon Peter is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/so - 738 in Enneagram, SCUEN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.

That Peter is ‘the rock’ and the leader of the apostles shows just how valuable Se-leadership is. In the fast-changing first years of the early church, after Jesus’ Ni-Fe vision had already been established, recorded faithfully through Matthew’s Si-Te and deeply-thought of through John’s Fi-Ne, what was needed was someone who could “adapt to fast-paced and changing environments well, and seek straightforward, practical solutions to current problems.” The early apostles had to move stealthily to avoid being captured and/or betrayed. And that’s Peter’s Se-Fi strength. What’s fascinating is that the resurrection forces all the apostles to confront and develop their inf. Functions. In Peter’s case, he negates Jesus three times which forces him to develop his inf. Ni fairly quickly, since he swore up and down before he would never do such a thing. By seeing first-hand how little his Se impulse mattered, no matter how much he meant it, in the grand scheme of things he was humbled and sobered in a matter of days.

Biography

Simon Peter was one of the leading 12 disciples of Jesus. Long before receiving his Apostolic calling to spread the Gospel, he worked with his brother Andrew casting nets and catching fish on the sea of Galilee. One key personality trait of Peter’s was his impulsiveness. Always willing to speak his mind, Peter also seemed to leap eagerly into the tests of faith placed before him. He was also well known for speaking his mind without fear of consequences, and on multiple occasions acted as spokesman for the other disciples.
