What personality type is Pope? Pope is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - sp/sx - 461 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
I see Pope as a 6w5. I can also see 1w9, but 2w3…not so much. Interesting consensus. I think he has a 4 fix because he is very temperamental and a 1 fix because he’s methodical, rigid, and has high internal standards. He is clearly mentally ill but I don’t want to conflate that with the enneagram types. The reason I think his core is E6 is because he is very loyal and committed to the family, but he’s also very skeptical as you can see in his relationships with his mother Smurf, and cousin J, like when they first meet. He kind of goes back and forth between trusting and distrusting, especially with Smurf. He has a fear based obedient relationship with her that mixes with so much resentment. It seems like he’s always scanning for danger and betrayal. He’s also reactive which matches up with E6. If anyone disagrees I’m willing to hear y’all out. It’s been a bit since I’ve watched the show. I would like to see some arguments for 1w9 :)
