What personality type is Serena? Serena is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - so/sp - 496 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, EII in Socionics.
If you step back and realize that Serena's entire persona was operating out of her Fe and her desire to be a certain way for others, and that she dropped that pressure once she felt comfortable around Alex only to be rejected, you can understand that she is an INFJ. An ISFP wouldn't have shed their image, representing their strong inner Fi, when they let down their guard. For an INFJ, being able to feel truly accepted when they don't try extra special to accomodate is very precious. Serena also is a great listener, she is able to get along with most of the people in the show by using her Ni+Fe to relate to them- even if they are very different from herself. She seems pretty aware that she attracts a bunch of assholes, and seems to also be aware she needs to break this cycle herself with a nicer guy (Ni). I just don't see her journey to be Fi at all. It's just sad Alex is such a shallow d*** to her.
Biography
Serena is Alex's fantasy girl. Her exotic goth style is off-putting at first, but she's actually a very likable, positive person. She works at STARBASE 12 with Matt. Creatively unfocused, she writes poetry, designs clothes, makes jewelry, and plays the zither. Serena has dated a string of junkies, posers, and manic-depressives. She claims she's ready to meet a "nice guy," but she rarely notices them when they are around.
