Kratos MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Kratos? Kratos is an ESTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - sp/sx - 836 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.

He is definitely still the same type. The fact that he got older, wiser and that he got more calculated as a person, is not a cognitive trait, but an overall self development. You can see in real life, people who are impulsive and hot headed can grow up to learn more discipline and be more aware, therefore more calculated and calmer. He has to be a father figure that learnt from his mistakes so he follows that goal now. No longer seeking revenge as his main goal, but now he is seeking to protect and defend atreus. We have all learnt what he would do to reach the results he needs from his previous games. You can still see him being cognitively extraverted, always looking to take the most efficient and direct approach towards his goals and is first looking to offer clear observations of the external world before his personal impression on it. A good example would be the scene in ragnarok when atreus killed a mother bear and kratos said "Intent does not matter", contextually pointing at the fact that only the results of your actions matter. "Nature will take it's course" external observation. He did not use any personal impressions in that conversation. You can always tell his approach to decisions is first : This is how things are -> This is what we have to do. Clearly a Te lead with a Si following. With enneagram, the discussion is different. Lots of people deny ESTJ 8 and propose 1 as a better alternative. I have seen arguments for both and my conclusion is 8 due to naranjo's description of sp8: "The most armed of all the E8 is the conservational. The word that corresponds to it is satisfaction: “I have to have it. This is mine. I have to have it." It is more an intolerance of the frustration of what he wants to have than the actual having of it. In this sense, it is somewhat like a characteristic of the sexual E1, who is also obsessed in the desire for him. But an E1 is very different from an E8. One is hypersocial, while eight is completely antisocial. One is too concerned with the rules and the other too little." -Definitely an intolerance to frustration in his older games. He was more about having revenge, destroying everything for it, giving away any values and sacrificing everything just to reach his desire. When he had his revenge he understood that his path was flawed and had to release "hope" into the world sacrificing his power. When he actually had what he put all his willpower on and strongly desired, he regretted it as shown in the dialogues from both gow 2018 and ragnarok. Wasn't satisfied with his results and the mistakes he worked towards for so long. "The E8 conservation pursues the satisfaction of your needs. He doesn't usually talk much. It is like the lion. A lion only moves when it is hungry. It seeks to satisfy its unsatisfied hunger and then sleeps for the rest of the day. Very majestically. It's like no nonsense, no words, no puns in a conservation eight." -His conversations with other people and his social connections in the first 3 parts + newer ones and even in ascension were very agressive and he only talked as much as he needed to. "Do this for me now", he asked to be aided otherwise he would just ignore, he had a "do this for me or do not talk to me" approach. Very result oriented in his social connections. Only looking to get something out of them and brute forcing through them. "We could say that his need is that of an exaggerated selfishness. They are the people who know how to do business and know how to haggle to get ahead of everyone. There is the expression: a used car salesman. That is the art or the talent of the eight conservation. But it is also his need: he is a survivor, a term that has been used for eights in general, but is more indicative of the conservation eight. He knows how to survive in the most difficult situations. He knows how to get things, how to get away with it." -His selfishness is through the roof. He put an end to the whole olympus sacrificing tons of people in the process for his own personal and irrational desire which was revenge. He only seeked one thing and it did not matter what others around needed or how they were put in danger by him. Overall, he is a strong willed and result oriented individual that is lead by his willpower alone and personal desires. You can still see glimpses of his impulsivity and selfishness in keeping up with his desire to protecting atreus. He will still rage and destroy everything around in order to reach his goal, no matter how rational or irrational it is.
