What personality type is Kaoru Hitachiin? Kaoru Hitachiin is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/so - 946 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
It actually kind of took me aback when it’s revealed how he is when he’s not with Hikaru. He’s actually quite wise, introspective, and thoughtful as well as having fairly high EQ despite how he is when he’s with his brother and their friendless childhood. The reason he’s not an INFP but an INFJ is due to the fact he much more aware of the group feeling in the way a high Fe user would be and not a dominant Fi user, often apologizing for his brother’s social faux pas like that incident at the bed and breakfast when Hikaru openly got jealous towards Haruihi’s childhood friend. Of course there’s also to mention the fairy tale metaphor and how nobody else besides perhaps Kouya(INTJ) quite understood what he was getting at.
Biography
Kaoru Hitachiin (常陸院 馨 Hitachiin Kaoru) is the younger of the Hitachiin twins and is in Class 1-A with his identical twin Hikaru Hitachiin and fellow Ouran Host Club member, Haruhi Fujioka. They start off acting like single-minded twins, though Haruhi is still able to tell them apart in personality since Hikaru tends to be meaner. The differences in their personalities begin to become more apparent as time goes on and they get more time apart, with Hikaru being more brusque and impulsive and Kaoru being calmer and more mature. In the Japanese dub, this is even apparent with their voices from the beginning, where Kaoru has a more soft and gentle voice while Hikaru's voice is more "sharp" and crisp.
