Follow-up comment on Toby - lol, so I’m watching S2-E12’s “Conflict Resolution”; remember towards the beginning when Oscar was ranting to Toby in the conference room and then Michael gets curious… …Toby saying that things have a working themselves out was the most 9w1 thing I’ve heard… the most painfully relatable… NO! GOD! NO, GOD, PLEASE, NO! NO! NO! NOOOOO! I’m not saying Toby is an empathetic character, he’s still the worst. I still agree with Michael that if Toby were standing amongst Hitler and Bin-Laden, if Michael himself had a gun with two bullets, then Toby ought to be shot twice; perhaps his neck twice to give him a test of his own medicine.
Biography
Toby H. Flenderson (born February 22, 1963) is a fictional character in The Office played by Paul Lieberstein. Prior to his termination in the series finale, he was the Human Resources Representative at the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin/Sabre. He is generally soft-spoken and mild-mannered. Toby is hated by Michael because as HR representative, he is always stifling Michael's inappropriate fun. He also continually addresses Michael like an adult, instead of pandering to his antics. When Andy is manager, he begins developing a similar hatred for Toby after he shuts down his fraudulent ideas such as making up a cause to get Nellie fired. Toby possesses a master's degree in social work from Temple University as seen in Counseling. #PaulLieberstein
