What personality type is Stanley Hudson? Stanley Hudson is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/sx - 953 in Enneagram, RCOEN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Te all about the tribe's sense of logic? Forget being productive, seeing results, being goal-oriented, detail-oriented, whatever. (Also Stanley is none of those things but I digress). At the end of the day, isn't the core idea of Te about doing what makes objective logical sense, using what is considered universally true to make decisions? I can't see that in Stanley. I've made the case that he hates the routine of his un-stimulating job therefore he's probably not an ISTJ, and I got criticized for stereotyping, people saying "ISTJs can hate their jobs too". Well okay, what about ISTPs actually having values? Isn't it possible for ISTPs to like their family? When Stanley DOES actually have plotpoints, they always point more to Se than anything. I won't get into them, but basically what I'm seeing in the ISTJ arguments is: he cares about his family and having a secure living so that means Si, he keeps to himself and does the same thing every day so he must be ISTJ. Personally I think that his simplistic routine points more to his enneagram than MBTI. He obviously doesn't like his routine, which is why he loves anything that comes along to shake up the monotony of the office. That's also why he spends so much time doing things that during the day that directly oppose getting any actual work done (doing crosswords, sleeping). Also, tons of people have pointed out the episode where the others test to see what really phases him by bringing in weird props and stuff. Honestly I think it fits his character (and it's funny) to think that he noticed everything but didn't even bother to comment on it, solely for the purpose of getting home as quick as possible to do his own thing. One more thing, not the best argument but just compare him to ISTJs like Angela, Charles Miner, even Karen lol, nothing in common with them
