Chen Nian MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Chen Nian? Chen Nian is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/sx - in Enneagram, RLOAI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.

𝔸 "𝕓𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕗" 𝕒𝕣𝕘𝕦𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕀ℕ𝕋𝕁: Chen Nian isn't very easy to type since she is very quiet and is going through unhealthy times in her life. So, in case anybody has another opinion WITH EVIDENCE, I'd hear it. But with this being said, she doesn't seem like an INFP to me. Yeah, she is sad and has a lot of pressure on her. But I don't think she uses Ne. Even you are justify it by mentioning loops, she doesn't really seem like someone in an Fi-Si loop. She isn't obsessive over her past as far as I'm concerned and mentioning past ≠ Si. (ISFP is a better choice in my opinion) • First of all, Nian isn't a high Pe user (XXXP). They tend to be explorative in their point of views (wether it's Se or Ne) and look for more space to discover. Chen Nian's thought process seems very gathered and carefully centered around one idea. She doesn't second-guess herself and feels confident to get one ideal from what she perceives. She feels quite certain about the way things are going to happen and looks for a specific "ideal" in the world. That's why she tries to study, making world a better place. This statement is a bigger picture focused statement and lacks the detailed nature of Si and seems more like Ni. ✎(On Hu Xiaodie) "She was weak. She let those people affect her." Nian: "She wasn't the only weak one. You and I are weak as well." Her way of perceiving is connecting people, objects, etc is seeing every part as a whole that come together. Instead of Ne-Si, which expands further and analyzes in order to get to its fundamental constituents. ✎"One I make it to Beijing, everything will be fine. Let's open a small shop in front of the university. I'll grab students off the street. Let's make money off my classmates." ✎"The end is right before us." ✎Bei: What do you want to do? Nian: "Study and take the exam. Go to a good school. Become one of the smart ones and find answers. If possible, protect the world." This again shows the "ideal" of Ni and the importance of what she wants to do for the world, instead of Si which focuses on the details and how to have stability while doing it. On inferior Se: • Chen Nian barely pays attention to what is going on around her because she is too focused on her own task. There are scenes where other students are being freaked out by something, but Chen Nian is just sitting somewhere else minding her own business (The scene where the parents of one of her bullies are begging the school assistants.) That's one of the reasons why she doesn't report the bullies. She views them as ignorable extra data that interrupt her from getting to her goal. She doesn't engage with conversations made by others, including the last time she met Wei Lai. She also doesn't take immediate action in emergencies. She lets Bei, a high Se user, do that. ✎"Why didn't you call the police?" Nian: "I had to focus on the exam [...] Can't we postpone this until after the exam? I still have two papers left." This shows her struggle to keep up with what's happening in real time (Se inferior) Now on her judging functions: • I think she is a Te-Fi user. Nian values productivity. Another reason for her not to report the bullies was its distraction for her. She knew that getting personal about her struggles prevents her from sticking to her duties as a student (repressing her Fi). But Nian is honest when she ACTUALLY TALKS. She doesn't hesitate to tell what she feels about the situations she gets in. For example, her comments on Xiao Bei at the beginning of their meetings. She was frank about his way of living and her dislike (?!?!) for him. This is Te-Fi axis, Te stating objective status while Fi states her personal feelings about it. ✎"I ignored Hu Xiaodie because she wanted to be my friend. I actually liked her." Her thinking about people as individuals can distract her from accomplishing her goals which shows Te>Fi. ✎"Revenge may seem normal to most people. But those who are forced to bear with things just to get through the college entrance exam are considered wrong? If this is how the world works, would you bring a child into it?" Ni's insightful nature that tries to understand the situation as a whole + Fi talking about morality from a personal place. An example of her functions coming to play is her monologue at the interrogation scene. (which I quoted a small part of it in the last paragraph) She starts off by mentioning how she feels helpless and others don't understand what she goes through. She talks about her own experience and what she – as an individual- has seen and applies it to how many other students face the same issue (Fi). It presents herself as if she is fact-checking about her case and presents is as "it's a fact" (Te). She forms her own idea of what she has seen during her school life, which is the current bullies. Se gathers she has seen, Ni narrows it down to a singular theme. It dwells on finding a pattern from actual, raw reality. Ok. Thanks for reading you one person.
