James Wilson MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is James Wilson? James Wilson is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w1 - so/sx - 269 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, EII in Socionics.

Spoiler alert: Like any other character, Wilson’s character goes through inconsistent writing. For the most part, his preference is INFJ but there are times where he morphs into ENFJ (Ti inferior when Amber died with him rationalizing his blaming of House for it) and ISFJ (times where he was stuck in the previous memories and clinging to what was familiar in a Ti-Si loop). However, after watching the last episodes of season 8 I can conclude that Wilson is for the most part an INFJ. His Ni is usually apparent when he theorizes House’s behaviour and always coming up with instant conclusions about everything (Ni-Ti). His Fe-Ti doesn’t even need any explanation since everyone has agreed on. At last, there are many different times where Wilson’s inferior Se pops out due to stress and unhealthy psychological states and impulsive traits. Most significant and visible one is him going through his “Kyle” phase of being shallow and indifferent before knowing that he has cancer or not. You can see that his Ti and Ni were still somehow activated where he knew it was a temporary phase but he was in denial and tried to make himself believe in this major change of character or in House’s words “maintain the facade”. He basically said that he wanted to do things without any judgement and thinking about the consequences of his actions cause it’s fun and he has lived his whole life searching for the profound and now he is ready to live meaninglessly. That’s the most perfect example of Ni dominant going through Se inferior grip.
