so ive seen a lot of ISFP votes explaining his inferior Te as him being selfish, pathetic, insecure and such but thats not how the inferior function works. he never once showed signs of te grip :/ (if you are not sure what a te grip in ISFPs looks like i think harry potter shows te grip pretty well in book 5 after the death of cedric) but had plenty of ti grip moments (e.g. when he moved out of the house and was alone) lonely, disconnected, cornered feels doubtful, skeptical, confused, maltreated critical, suspicious, dismissive plagued by underlying feelings of disharmony, inadequacy, alienation also Jerry is clearly an unhealthy version of his type. to be specific, hes at the ego development level 1 distorted Fe: interfering, hypersensitive, meddling, needy, conflict avoidant, judgmental, do not express true feelings, indirectly criticize others, guarded, look for offense (misinterpret people’s comments or selectively attend to negative comments), blindly optimistic and deny any negativity distorted Si: protective of traditions, maintain high standards, overprotective of people, persnickety, too conventional, obsessive, change resistant, intrusive, gossipy about those who are different under intense stress or in the grip of Ti: excessive criticizing, nagging, complaining, self-pitying, manipulate others to get their own way, try to involve others in problems, try to shed responsibilities, use extreme and convoluted logic to justify their ideas/behaviors, compulsively search for the truth behind some conflict this explains him EXACTLY. and i def agree that hes selfish but thats not cognition... its a trait. every person on earth regardless of their type can show any trait. i do appreciate that selfishness is usually associated with unhealthy fi... but it could as well be unhealthy fe which seems more likely since he shows more signs of fe-si-ne usage than fi-se-ni usage. also ISFP voters please explain se-ni to me. (please stop voting selfish/dumb/pathetic/insecure ppl as ISFPs)
