What personality type is Hank? Hank is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - 683 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
I think ISTJ makes more sense. The thing he is most terrified of is change. He wants to stay in an aquarium the way he has been so long and not into the sea. I also don't see any examples of Ni in him, his intuition isn't better than average. Also inferior Ne makes more sense than inferior Se for the previously mentioned reason. He never takes the road less travelled by and trusts and uses the methods he knows (unlike an Ni user). That's why he is so annoyed by Dory in the beginning- she's the complete opposite (ENFP). He doesn't show inferior Se- he has way less trouble finding his way around in the marine park than Dory. Inferior Ne however shows a lot. Unlike Dory he is scared of everything he doesn't know and always trusts the ''tried and trusted'' principle. He gets very frustrated with Dory when he finds out that she stopped following the signs because of one of her Ne insights. It also shows Te. He trusts things like signs, rules and outside regulations instead of relying on his intuition and what is possible. He is obsessed with following his previously made plan (Si-Te) when Dory tells him ''what's so great about a plan, I never had a plan''. He never considered anything else, because staying in an aquarium was the plan. We never see him considering other options, he doesn't think about alternatives but is so obsessed with not going to the ocean that he doesn't allow himself to even think about anything else. He also wants to stay after he and Dory become friends.
