Personality

What personality type is Nemo? Nemo is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - so/sx - 748 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, in Socionics.

Extroverted Sensing (Se): Nemo is frustrated with his dad, because he just wants to go out and experience life to the fullest. He can’t wait to go on adventures with his friends, he’s willing to swim out across the drop-off and touch a boat chain, and he doesn’t hesitate to hit the current or chase after Dory. He is willing to physically put himself in danger to get out of the dentist’s fish tank. Nemo looks for opportunities to act and jumps on them! Introverted Feeling (Fi): Since Nemo isn’t afraid of the ocean, he doesn’t fully understand why his dad is so terrified all the time. Nemo has a strong sense of identity, and the determination to be himself. He asserts this need to be separate from his father in the first film through rebellion – and in the second, has more of an open, easy-going, encouraging nature. He tells off his father, after brooding for awhile, for being rude to Dory about her forgetfulness. Extroverted Thinking (Te): He acts on his feelings all the time. When he can’t figure out how to get out of a fish tank into a nearby pond, he suggests they “think like Dory!” (He can’t figure out a logical Te way to get out of a fix, so they adopt Dory’s “this plan is so crazy, it just might work!” attitude, and go for it). He can be sharp-tongued at times. Introverted Intuition (Ni): Many of his decisions are short-sighted, but Nemo does have an instinctive sense of the trustworthiness of other fish. He commits to something, and sees it through.

Biography

Marlin's son. The sole survivor of a barracuda attack, Nemo grows up with a "lucky fin" that did not develop properly. He is very curious and brave, but sheltered. His father's overprotectiveness has kept him from attending school and having adventures. He is captured by divers and placed in a dentist's fish tank, earning the nickname "Sharkbait" for aiding in their escape. In the second movie, he moves from protagonist to Marlin's rather funny moral support.
