What personality type is Jiang Xueqin (Predictive History)? Jiang Xueqin (Predictive History) is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - so/sp - 512 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.

I'm here through his Secret History series, and so far it's genuinely difficult to vote him as anything but INFJ. The Ni is clearly visible and Ni dom is the only consensus among voters, so I'd just explain why I see the Fe-Ti axis from him. His values are very Fe-based: strength comes from unity, societies are strong only when there is cohesion (to the point that the idea of the individual damages our collective strength). He truly believes in "synchronicity" (ep.4 Secret History: "If you were a mother, and your child travels to France and gets hit by a car, would you know? He's not calling you, you don't know what's happening to him, but you're worried. Do you feel it in your heart? Yes, you do...") My child would be dying while I drink my morning coffee. It requires great intuition for this to be your natural state, and an even greater ability to feel what others feel. He even thinks this is the default for people. Tertiary Ti is reflected in how his logic is often simply unsound. He's very invested in the idea that few simple & grand concepts, once grasped, would be able to fully explain how the world works. To do so requires a lot of oversimplification, and he's an expert in it. Some verbal juggling, playing around with words here and there. When Ti doms show the world their works, even if you disagree with them, you'd find it very difficult to "break" the material into pieces. It would be solid, well-thought-out, and for the most part secure. You can completely see why it makes sense - the hard part is to understand the idea in the first place. However, this is not the case with this guy. The premise is often ok-ish, but every time he takes a leap to the next step he pushes it further, until he has a chain of thoughts. Any link of this chain is not really strong. Whenever he goes too far, you'd see it. Listeners should be selective with his opinions. Many are questionable, and his understanding of some ideas (for instance, euthanasia) is one-dimensional. Thanks to his Fe, he's a charming speaker. Notice how sometimes he'd respond to his students asking questions with an impassioned short rant. (ep.1, "Science is not real!!") Another comment claimed that he's unlikely to be a 5 because a 5 wouldn't have such an incomplete understanding of the subject. I also think he's not a 5, but it's because he's too much of a conspiracy theorist. He says "They're lying" or "In reality..." or "You've been brainwashed" at least once every video. The running theme of his lectures that I've seen is the world is deceptive, and you must not simply learn how it is but find out an ultimate truth. He has a very 6 way of thinking: There's a definitive answer to the big question that is the world. He also talks a lot about how people are losing trust in each other/how do people establish trust. Trust means power to him, and a huge part of his series is dedicated to explaining power. This suggests 2V/3V in AP.
