What personality type is Mario? Mario is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - so/sx - 379 in Enneagram, SCUAN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
**spoilers** idk i don’t really see the e3 desires for admiration and prestige, nor do i see ambition in pursuit of status the most e3 trait i could see was wanting to finally be praised and supported by his father but i mean, who doesn’t want such things from their parent/s so8s aren’t as aggressive or hotheaded as other 8s either, they’re commonly mistaken for 2s (particularly if agreeable) or 3s because of it but i do not see the e3 ambition dominating his personality i know the biggest thing that puts 8 into question for mario is his presence (or lack thereof) of lust, but i think it can be observed in his impulses to get what he was after, even if it didn’t turn out to be the smartest decision the best example i can think of is when he punched the banzai bill’s eye and took advantage of it changing direction to chase him by leading it straight to the warp pipe, not realizing the mushroom kingdom would end up sucked into brooklyn due to the vacuum caused by its explosion while this could just be a lack of foresight due to inferior ni i think this could also represent an 8’s (particularly a so8’s in this case) impulsive desire to get what they want (which was in this case, save a kingdom) no matter what it takes and an impulse by definition is an action taken with little to no prior thought i might be misunderstanding the context of lust for e8s a little, but i don’t exactly see the e3 vice of deceit in any case either i don’t see mario putting forth a persona or alternate personality for others to look upon him favorably, nor do i see him wishing to be admired on a large scale it was quite the contrary actually, he was very unapologetic about who he was and had a very “take it or leave it” attitude about what people thought of him outside of his family he didn’t pursue his quest through the mushroom kingdom to be perceived as a hero all he wanted to do was save his brother, and he wouldn’t stop at anything to accomplish that “you never know when to quit” very e8 thing to be told, especially by multiple people even the way he defended luigi from spike’s headassery at the beginning felt very so8 “say that again about my brother and you’ll regret it” im ultimately not sure if hes an 8 or a 3 but regardless of which one he is, the fix of the other is definitely present i’m just putting my own thoughts here
