Megan Ganz MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Megan Ganz? Megan Ganz is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.

I was shocked to see that Megan didn't have a page on here so I had to make one and add my two cents as I've spent the day reading through her Reddit comments and am a big fan of the Always Sunny podcast. From what I can tell, Megan describes her thinking process in a very Ne way ("I think most writers probably have some form or another of ADHD. I find it really hard to focus my thoughts. But, that allows me to make a lot of connections in my brain that I don't think I'd make if my thoughts were aligned like train cars."). This also aligns with Dan Harmon's Ne chaotic jumping from one abstract thought to another, and she keeps up with his train of thought well (see their text message exchange regarding Remedial Chaos Theory). She also seems to be naturally adverse to structure but now embraces it as a writer ("I learned how to be funny within constraints. Now I love structure."), which I believe is consistent with Te inferior. She embraces the structures and systems set by other people ("And now that I've used it, I can't imagine ever writing a story that didn't adhere to Dan's story circle. It's a perfect jumping off point. It's a warm, round blanket you wrap around yourself to protect you from the cold, dark void of a blank Final Draft page."), indicating Te over Fe. Her Fi also seems dominant in the way she talks about emotional stuff in her writing and the aspects of shows that she loves. In a Reddit AMA, she stated that the character she relates most to is "Britta. God bless her misguided, overly earnest feminism.", and I believe those aspects of her character are informed by her Fi (not to mention that Britta is also an INFP). Her earnestness is clear in the podcast and she has very authentic views that you see with Fi users. I also think you can see her Fi-Si in her connection with the past. When writing Charlie's monologue in the finale of Season 15, she said "I wrote that Charlie monologue on Father’s Day, while wearing an old coat that belonged to my dad. He died when I was young, so writing that scene felt very cathartic.". She also wrote in a comment years earlier about her doodling that "I think it's because I can't draw things like a horse or a landscape. I can only be OCD and repeat the same lines over and over. And then I got into origami polyhedrons and... I don't know why. My dating life is probably responsible for that.". Clearly, she links her emotional framework with her past experiences, indicating Fi-Si. Overall, I love Megan and her career in comedy writing is awe-inspiring for a writer like myself. If she sees this, Megan - you're the best and an inspiration to aspiring female comedy writers all over the world!
