Ooh I am a bit surprised at this consensus however I think it makes sense. I would have vibe typed him as an ENFP. But it is worth remembering that cognitive introverts will very often show more of their extroverted aux function when interacting with others which can make that aux function seem like the dominant function. I think it’s fair to say that at the core of all his works is a deep, deep interest in people and morality and how we as people can best navigate the world while staying true to our values. Whoever said Diane is a self-insert was onto something because you can see her philosophical musings reflected very strongly in his other works (and yes I 100% believe Diane is an INFP, there is literally no doubt in my mind lol). His short stories in Someone Who Will Love You In All Your Damaged Glory are deeply introspective and what strikes me is that all of his principal characters seem focused on themselves and their own feelings and experiences with the world, which does strike me as very Fi-dom behavior. Fi-doms are, for better or worse, extremely focused on themselves and their own place within the world, rather than being focused on the world itself like cognitive extroverts are. Obviously I am a little biased, if it wasn’t clear, because I admire him a lot as a creator and as a person, and I would love to add him to the ‘positive INFP representation’ pool.
