I guess we could elaborate around this: Si: I can see his si by the end of the show, where he decides to write a book in order to understand what had happened to them. His book is very well received by the critics, and it showed how Si was a valuable function to him. He also had the same instincts as his son, so we can see that he values his own story, being blind to what was really happening (no Se). Te: Adjusting the surroundings in order to help his son. Throughout the story, he tries to control what was happening: his wife's breakdowns, Jeffrey's urges. he was concerned about work, which caused his to not pay too much attention to his family. Fi: he had trouble understanding his own feelings, and even couldn't deal with them very well, for example when he arrives home and screams at his wife because she tried to commit suicide. he didn't care about her, he only just got mad, like, man! the woman tried to commit suicide for god's sake.. he deeply valued understanding his son's interests, but was simply blind about his son's truly intentions (Fe blind). Ne: this is interesting. one example of this function is when he tries to publish his book but he didn't see it coming: the victims claiming the money of the published books. so he just gave up, sticking to what he knew best, which was living the life he already knew, protecting his son and giving in to all his wishes (like getting a priest to to baptize him). I guess that's pretty much it, of course I'm open for discussion.
