Why? Because she’s been masterminding this from before the show even started. We all know that if it weren’t for the fact of her arrival pressuring Walt to go into the drug business in the first place then no atrocities would have been committed. We all know that Walt says he does everything for his family, but he never specifies which family member is forcing him to commit all these crimes. She has rightly ensured he is too terrified of her to implicate her legally, while sacrificing himself to ensure her moves are made. Likewise, Holly remains silent after we see Walt showing off the millions he’s made for her. She could even turn him in at this point and take the money for herself, but for the rest of the series she remains silent and is never questioned by police, resulting in completely getting away with everything while Walt has to change identities, have Nazis shoot his brother in law, and divorce his wife, all for Holly. NOT Walt Jr - in the same way that Holly has criminal subterfuge, Walt Jr has breakfast. Also, her supposed ‘kidnapping’ was a classic sort of dark joke/mind game that she played on her parents to remind them that their marriage and drug business management issues is not as important as she is, which of course works. “But Huell took her!” who is Huell paid by sorry? Saul who’s paid by Walt who, as we have established, is doing Holly’s bidding. By the end of the show Holly’s immediate family (and countless others) are either dead or have had their lives utterly ruined, yet she seems fine, maybe even slightly more animated than when we first met her. She will stop at nothing to get what she wants, even if it means sacrificing those who love her along the way. TLDR this heartless criminal won Breaking Bad so well you didn’t even notice it until now
