Anthony Lockwood MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Anthony Lockwood? Anthony Lockwood is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sx - 387 in Enneagram, in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

IMO(respectfully), I think he’s 100% an ENFJ. If we r going to go off characteristics/ traits, I can see why ppl think ENTJ; ambitious, desire to succeed, natural leader, etc. But he has very heavy ENFJ traits: natural leader, good at inspiring others, emotionally supportive, passionate, values harmony, beats around the bush, values morals, “right” vs “wrong” (btw, I am not saying ENTJs can’t be these things; I’m saying the ENFJ traits seem to come more naturally to him, and the ENTJ traits are more of a conscious decision rather than his instinctual behaviour). *Note: I’m only on ep5 so I could be completely wrong abt all of this. Also, I’ve been into MBTI for a while, but I’m somewhat new to cognitive functions and not completely familiar w/ other functions besides my own, so I could be wrong abt some of the points I make, and include stereotyping/ biases. I don’t exactly know how to categorize these points as Fe vs Te, but these are some reasons I deff think he’s an ENFJ that are deff connected to cognitive behaviour: 1) He’s comfortable dealing w/ his emotions/ the emotions of others. This is not to say that ENTJ’s are incapable of this, but the way Lockwood deals w/ his emotions feels so innate; it comes as naturally as breathing to him, to the point where he doesn’t have to think abt doing it - he just does it. 2) When trying to be persuasive, he appeals to moral values and the “principle of things” (etiquette) rather that stone-cold evidence/ reasoning to prove his point (systems). 3) example from show: there was no evidence/ any type of logical reasoning behind why he chose to believe Lucy when she told him she could talk to the skull (he didn’t decide to believe her bcuz he found a logical reason). He chose to believe her based on his emotional intuitiveness; he used intuitive feeling to make the decision rather than intuitive reasoning (I hope this makes sense lol). 4) He is a mediator and good at taking charge when there is no social harmony: when he handled unhappy workers in ep4, he did this by finding solutions for their “emotional” issues (not solutions to help them get the job done). His solution was to make sure everyone was happy, not solve every problem (which is a very common difference between thinkers and feelers - feelers are good at emotional comfort, while thinkers tend to first offer solutions to problems when trying to comfort someone). He believed that the best way to get on w/ the job and dissolve conflict was to satisfy everyone. he builds and evaluates social networks. 5) ENFJ’s can be just as ambitious as ENTJ’s imo; they are very goal-oriented, hard working, and are intensely passionate making them incredibly motivated. The more egocentric side of ambitiousness also fits w/ ENFJ’s: they enjoy the spotlight and being the centre of attention. However, I’d say they love the glory/approval that success brings them, while (and this might be a stereotype) ENTJ’s love the power/status success brings them. 6) We see that one type of spotlight he wants is the type that comes from Lockwood & Co. being a successful business, w/ him as the leader. But that’s just relating to business - not everything he does for the spotlight is related to that purpose. He seems to want spotlight on a casual basis, not just pertaining to work. Even w/ his friends, he almost always needs to be the centre of attention (while somehow still being incredibly selfless?). I’d say this type of spotlight he wants is the type that comes from trying to be the “hero/ saviour” - he wants to be seen as the “good guy” which is very ENFJ typical. I also have some non factual reasons I think he is an ENFJ that’s completely based on vibes lol: 1) I’ve seen a lot of ppl compare him to Kaz from SOC and I 100% agree that he is a less traumatized version of him (I love this comparison sm), but I think Lockwood is too friendly/social to completely be a Kaz variant. 2) Someone I do think he is VERY similar to (might be controversial lol) is fanon James Potter. More specifically, if James Potter was a Slytherin, he would be Anthony Lockwood. I’m sry, but the need for glory?? Attention?? Spotlight?? He’s an attention *****, just like James, and can have that insufferable cocky arrogant toe rag thing abt him when he gets too full of himself, just like James. He also adopts strays (George and Lucy) like James does (Remus and Sirius). He also gives me golden retriever energy, but that might just be me. I’d say he’s the perfect mix of James Potter and Kaz. 3) Also, I saw someone make an argument here abt how Lucy called Lockwood a dickhead and ENFJ’s aren’t normally labeled as dickheads, and respectfully, I disagree. I don’t think Lucy meant dickhead in the “synonym for asshole” kind of way. I think she meant it more as he’s annoying, insufferable, ridiculous, peacock way. It’s hard to explain, except if you have watched Derry Girls before. I think she meant dickhead in the exact way the girls call James a dickhead lol.
