Many people believe that Jennette's portrayal in the comic exhibits more of Si-Fe, leading them to classify her as an ISFJ. However, I disagree with this perspective. In the comic, Jennette displays a strong Fi, which is evident in various depictions of her internal thoughts. For example, when faced with the Duke's hypnotic seduction that causes her to doubt Cynthia, she firmly opposes the Duke's words and believes that he doesn't truly understand Cynthia. This shows that Jennette has strong personal values, and there are indications of her resistance later on. If she were a user of Si-Fe, she would be more likely to say things that go against her true feelings in order to maintain harmonious relationships (Fe). Furthermore, some have mentioned that Jennette's Ne is hardly noticeable throughout the entire comic. This may be because Jennette falls into the grip of an Fi-Si loop, where she escapes reality and becomes engrossed in the past. For instance, in the novel, when she discovers that Earl has developed feelings for Cynthia, she avoids facing the situation, not wanting Earl to leave her. She even chooses to evade problems and fears harming others when confronted. Regarding the belief that Jennette displays strong Fe in the story, I believe this can be explained by the fact that Jennette has no authority or voice within her family. This constant suppression of her Fi causes her to keep many thoughts and feelings to herself, leading her to immerse herself in her own world. Her desire for connection with others is mainly due to her childhood loneliness and feelings of insecurity. Without proper guidance, she can only interpret the situation as her not being a part of the same family as the Duke. Therefore, she believes that only Claude and Cynthia, who share her bloodline, could genuinely like her. Lastly, there is the issue of Te. Jennette's display of Te in the story is indeed minimal, but this is precisely because Te is her fourth function, her inferior function, which naturally appears less frequently. Some argue that Jennette's use of Ti to rationalize the actions of others or herself is indicative of her tertiary function. However, I believe this is rather a result of the INFP's shadow function, Devilish Role Ti, which leads her to mistakenly believe that her analysis is objective and correct, causing her to be oblivious to the mistakes happening around her.
