What personality type is Dexter? Dexter is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - sp/so - 613 in Enneagram, SLOAI in Big 5, in Socionics.
GAHH alright I know we don't know much but I definitely think he is on the ti/fe axis. I originally thought he was INTP but I think his fe is much higher. It kind of sold be that he fits his deemed unethical needs into society by being a exterminator. Ti/fe users fit their own reasoning or actions into things deemed acceptable by others. In which he follows external ethics for his judgments rather then his own. He is insane and wants to do bad things, but he KNOWS they are bad, mostly focusing on reactions (lLla freaking out that he kills cats) or the general consensus. I mostly got this idea from his notes he wrote when he was trapped in the box deprived from his needs. One of the notes has writing of him repeating "I CANT KILL THEM THEY'RE KIDS" a judgment based on general ethics alone. After he does decide to hurt them but his judgment process remains the same. I know I'm talking about fe a lot but I still think he follows auxilary ti, he fits his views into fe and prefers them in the long run. I am insane about this character so I might anazlyze more and write more... I never do this but I do admit I probably have some sort of bias to ENTP and other things that align with my typology but I want to get as close as to who he truly is as possible. For enneagram I'd say head- 6 gut-1 heart- 3 or 4 ( ah and the reason why I voted sp6 is because he's primarily focused on satisfying his needs without disappointing or hurting anyone, making bad relationships. He seems to genuinely want to impress people so they can be on his side. But he's focused on keeping himself in check or secure and seems to be focused on his own survival than external attention (ex: blaming lila for his bad situation and only focuses on the damage to himself than anything else))
