What personality type is Cyno? Cyno is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - 613 in Enneagram, RCOEN in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
It’s really confusing to me how Cyno is mistyped as an ISTJ by a big part of the pdb. I have read some good and consistent arguments defending ISTP but all the arguments I read about Cyno being an Si is how he cares about rules and Te because he values efficiency . I think this mistype has a very frequent occurrence among characters such as ISTP’s , because their dominant function is Ti , which if you don’t know, is a judging function. This might give off the wrong idea to people who only know Cyno on a surface level (and yes I’ve met many ISTP’s that got ISTJ on a mbti test because of their Dominant judging function they will most certainly have a Judger result) . My first impression of Cyno was that he was an ISTJ, because on a surface level, he is keeping his professionalism and doing his job by punishing people. When I actually got to meet and research the character, I found out that my quick judgment of his personality was wrong. Cyno is actually a very spontaneous and adaptable character, he lives impulsively and he is good at solving problems. This is some of the most common traits of Ti doms. ISTP’s are usually very aware of their surroundings and environment […] “Remember what I told you? There's always danger lurking in the night, so whatever you do, keep your guard up.” - Cyno Another very iconic line of Cyno “The past cannot be changed, and the future cannot be foretold. As a result, I make sure to always cherish the here and now.” . I find this quote very interesting because ISTP’s hate to think about the past OR the future due to their impulsiveness of living in the present. (Auxiliary Se) I would love to debate with any ISTJ voter and try to understand their perspective on this topic.Until then I’ll stay loyal to my opinion.
