Milutin Milanković (often francized in Milankovitch, in Cyrillic Serbian: Милутин Миланковић), born on May 28, 1879 in Dalj, Austria-Hungary, today in Croatia, and died on December 12, 1958 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, today in Serbia is a Serbian engineer, astronomer, geophysicist, inventor and climatologist [1], [2]. The prize awarded since 1933 by the Geophysical Society of Europe in the field of climatology and meteorology is named after Milutin Milanković. NASA has proclaimed Milankovic as one of the most important scientists in the field of earth sciences [3].
