Milutin Milanković (often francized in Milankovitch, in Cyrillic Serbian: Милутин Миланковић), born on May 28, 1879 in Dalj, Austria-Hungary, today in Croatia, and died on December 12, 1958 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, today in Serbia is a Serbian engineer, astronomer, geophysicist, inventor and climatologist [1], [2]. The prize awarded since 1933 by the Geophysical Society of Europe in the field of climatology and meteorology is named after Milutin Milanković.
