What personality type is Peter Quint? Peter Quint is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sx - 387 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
Hmmm... Fe-doms aren't the only types capable of being perceptive to other folks' motivations. In fact, I think all types are capable but it's just how it's framed. An ENFJ would likely frame peoples motivations within story/narrative of the person (i.e. "This is the part of their story where..." or "This is what this person is fighting for..." or even "Where am I in this person's journey/life/experience?") Using Fe and Ni to connect with other's emotional experiences and building potential for where it can go internally. While an ESTP would be observant or hands on in figuring out what makes someone tick, using that Se to experience hands on what that person wants, looking for a person's motivations through behaviors (finding "keys," observing how Rebecca moves through the world, becoming part of her life), understanding the context and cause and effect of interactions (i.e. Peter's threats to Hannah to have her fired by saying "You should be careful what you say to me.") and relying on that Ti to meet a goal (good, evil or neutral). I'm new to MBTI so I'm really processing out loud, what do you think?
Biography
Peter Quint is a major character in The Haunting Of Bly Manor and the manipulative business associate of Henry Wingrave. He eventually becomes involved with Rebecca Jessel, the Governess of Bly Manor causing complications for the Wingrave family when the two become romantically involved.
