Social Six MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Social Six? Social Six is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - 613 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.

Social Six is archetypally LFVE. Now onto why SO6 and LFVE are the most archetypal pairing. Before mentioning quotes from Cobardes that are in support of 3rd Will above 2nd Will for the Social Six, we must explain the essence of how Third Will works as well as first Logic (fourth Emotion was already explained for the Social Six). The essence of Third Will is its negativism (in the sense of Millon’s Personality Theory) in that they are often beset by strong internal struggles about their identity, their desires, their position in society, et cetera. This causes an inner conflict about many aspects of their character like their relationship to authority, need for approval from others, but also a hidden authoritarian side of theirs that often seeps into their character. “And so, from his childhood in the family sphere, the social E6 developed an ideal of himself rooted in the capture and obedience of the prevailing norms and codes. His strong adherence gave him a basic feeling of being accepted and belonging. But beyond this compulsion to approve, he has power and begins to look for parcels of power that allow him to feel more valued, more recognized. This impulse, however, runs up against their tendency to obedience and submission, with the internalized demand for adherence to the norms and to the group, with their fear of authority. This ambivalence generates an internal struggle in him, between the poles of the good legal son and the rebellious impulse to take the father's place.” From this, we can spot the Social Six’s source of inner conflict being these two poles. These poles being approval from authorities (also seen in some of their childhood as being obedient students as a means to become a slave to duty) as well as a need for omnipotence, power. This also leads to the inner conflict that the Social Six is powerless but also all-powerful at the same time, which is one of the causes for its doubtful rumination that leads to fear and more fear. Another facet of Third Will is its indirect (passive) aggression and need to subtly control things and people to get what they want despite not really knowing what they want in life. Again, this relates to Social Six’s hidden need for authority over others which is far more hidden and over contemplated than that of the Sexual Six. Though Sexual Six is a highly inhibited type, Social Six is even more inhibited and restrained than their SX-instinct brothers as the Social Six completely represses their natural instincts in the face of their code, their adherence towards ideals, et cetera. Also, to clear up a common misconception about the Social Six, they are not blindly loyal people. In fact, they are extremely distrustful of others and overanalyze everything around them and become loyal and trusting of something once they understand everything about it before adhering to this ideal. This is a natural trait of all E6s because their worldviews are inherently shades of grey. This ambivalence towards their loyalty is further proof that they are archetypally Third Will. High Will is aware of their own desires, their own loyalties (especially Second Will, who is more likely to be unconditionally loyal and servicing others because they know what they desire in life). Their distrustful attitude towards others is also far easier to attribute to Third Will than Second Will. “The attitude of distrust turns the social E6 into lookouts on the lookout for eventual rejections. My main fear is the non-acceptance of people. No matter how much I do, I have that feeling of not being liked, of being cold, that my conversations can have an aggressive charge. I think they reject me, that they want others more. It's pure negative speculation that makes me mistrust people: they don't tell me the truth, they talk behind my back, they can hurt me, abuse me, make fun of me... And my posture is one of vigilance. I hesitate when they tell me something, I think they don't share all the information. “ This is not how Second Will, specially from Lao Tzu (LVFE) views people at all. This segment of the Social Six book implies that rather than all people being born equal to them, it shows that everyone is not meant to be remotely trusted and all hold negative potential to them, no I am not trying to idealize 2nd Will in this argument. Biography

This subtype copes with fear by finding a good authority. They think the way to be safe is to follow the rules of their chosen authority, whether a person, a system, or an ideology. They tend to be dutiful, legalistic, intellectual, responsible, and efficient, and they rely on following guidelines or reference points to feel secure. For them, uncertainty and ambiguity equal anxiety. They display a mixture of “phobic” (fearful) and “counterphobic” (confronting fear with strength) behaviors. They see the world in terms of black and white, rather than gray. SO6 Trait Structure and Descriptions: https://wiki.personality-database.com/books/enneagram/page/social-6-in-detail
