If you look at the stories of the prophets, Allah tells us their stories about how they were pushed to their limits and each was pushed according to their unique soul and challenges. Prophet Yusuf (AS)'s story is more indicative of him having Te + Fi than Fe + Ti. When Allah (SWT) describes Yusuf (AS) holding back his feelings when his brothers are lying and slandering him right to his face, that is more indicative of his Fi usage because it's much harder for an Fi user to stand there and hold back from their honor being bad mouthed right to their face. Especially when they are not even true (combination with Te). "My master has been good to me". And then protecting his honor while being jailed wrongfully is a much more challenging endeavor for an Te + Fi user than an Fe + Ti user imo and that's why I think these events were chosen for him by Allah. Te users are very much concerned with what is the objective truth and the combination with Fi just makes it all the worse when falsehood is used against them and they are punished for something they never truthfully even did. It is a lie, a falsehood, that has besmirched his honor in front of everyone, and that is what he must endure. Yusuf proposed, “Put me in charge of the store-houses of the land, for I am truly reliable and adept.” That's pretty INTJ no? Confident in his own abilities to govern the external, reliably, and adeptly. "When he had provided them with their supplies, he demanded, “Bring me your brother on your father’s side. Do you not see that I give full measure and I am the best of hosts?" Commanding, truth asserting, and Fi using. Do you not see my fairness? my generosity? Now do as I say (Te, controlling environment according to their Fi will) "But if you do not bring him to me ˹next time˺, I will have no grain for you, nor will you ever come close to me again.” Te + Fi again. More concerned about what's objective, what's right, what's fair and just rather than the emotions or harmony of what others think of his actions or his demeanor. Fe trickster. He is not as concerned with establishing harmony and peace among the hearts of everyone nearby as he is establishing control of their actions according to his will that is righteous. Both are righteous but one is Fe-Ti and one is Te-Fi. Also notice WHAT he is in charge of governing: the finances of an empire. Do you think it's more Te or Fe to be so confident and comfortable governing something so external and objective as finances and its surrounding systems? Te imo. It kind of exhausts me to even think about as an INFJ.
Biography
Yūsif bin Yaʿqūb bin Isḥāq bin ʾIbrāhīm (Arabic: يوسف ٱبن يعقوب ٱبن إسحاق ٱبن إبراهيم) (Joseph, son of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham) is a prophet mentioned in the Quran, and corresponds to Joseph, a person from the Tanakh, the Jewish religious scripture, and the Christian Bible, who was estimated to have lived in the 16th century BCE. It is one of the common names in the Middle East and among Muslim nations. Of all of Yaqub's children, Yusuf was the one given the gift of prophecy. Although the narratives of other prophets are mentioned in various Surahs, the complete narrative of Yusuf is given only in one Surah, Yusuf, making it unique. It is said to be the most detailed narrative in the Qur'an and bears more details than the Biblical counterpart.
