I agree he changed, and the way he looks radically change - what I don't agree is that he did radically change (the way he looks, his persona, did change a lot, though). After "the Balrog experience" (epic, btw), I see him becoming more active and assertive, to the point of some people even thinking that he was a ENTJ on film 3 because he did looked like one in stereotype terms, and he engaged significantly more into the 'campaign' against Sauron forces and all, while earlier he did had more of a secondary attitude and had more of a role of an auxiliary who sometimes did show up - like on movie 1 and the hobbit. However, I don't think this is enough to say that he turned into an extravert. He did became less introvert, yes, surely, but not enough to be extravert. But I think the change was enough to him to be now a core 1 instead of core 5, to go from 5-1-2 to 1-5-2, even though I do wonder myself if after the middle earth and wars he did went back to 5-1-2 (that is quite likely). But I don't see any other significant change in general - regarding functions, enneagram, dichotomies, etc.. as a whole - just small changes. Not sure even if this profile here is appropriate.
