Agent Smith MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Agent Smith? Agent Smith is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - so/sp - 135 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.

Agent Smith is a great case of INTJ 1w9. > Very clear Ni/Fi that sets the reasoning behind his actions and morals - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM1-DQ2Wo_w&ab_channel=TronixTheCat This one piece of evidence clearly expresses his Ni/Te/Fi. Notice how he discusses how he has a "revelation/vision" about how humans need to be wiped out because they replicate the same behaviors of "a disease/cancer"? Through categorization and data, he realizes that human beings do not fit his pattern of Te, and violate his Fi. A lot of XNTJs often express their Fi by demonstrating some kind of moral on how they believe the world should run - usually under some rule of efficiency and direct expression. Agent Smith believes that the world isn't running how he believes it should be, so the solution he comes up with is to wipe out human beings entirely so that the world can continue running efficiently to his standards. Not xSTJ. He actively goes against the system and provides novelty by becoming a rogue program because he believes that the Matrix would run a lot better without humans. Not a detail oriented logician, but an overly cynical visionary. > 1w9 Some people would type him 8w9. I can see how Agent Smith may come off like an 8w9, or even a counterphobic 6w5 as some had previously mentioned. I don't think this is the case whatsoever. Think about what Agent Smith wants control for. He doesn't want to become the authority out of authority and comfort's sake, he wants to become the authority to revolutionize and change the system. "Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague.. and we are the cure." From the last part of the sentence alone, he genuinely believes that he's doing the world a favor by removing humans. What are the key motivations of a 1? Fearful of being morally unethical to the self's standards. What do they do in order to avoid this fear? They go out of their way to be morally good. Agent Smith genuinely believes that what he's doing is right for this world. 1w9 over 1w2, simply because he's enacting his goals in order to acquire peace within the Matrix, rather than doing morally good things in order to feel worthy enough to be loved. > INTJ vs ENTJ? I could see someone making an argument for inferior Fi. Honestly, I'm not so sure myself which one he is. But I think that the execution of his Te primarily serves his Ni goal. If you think about Agent Smith as an anti-virus, because he was intended to be the manifestation of one, you could say that he's an INTJ because all the Te programming sought to fulfill the Ni vision that the virus was programmed to accomplish. But then again, codes don't really have Fi, lol. > 1w9 sx/so?! "While the Self-Preservation One is a perfectionist, and the Social One unconsciously takes on the pose of someone who is "perfect" in modeling to the right way to be, Sexual Ones focus on perfecting others, This One is more of a reformer than a perfectionist. They have a need to improve others, but don't focus on being perfect themselves. This is the only One subtype that is explicitly angry and so is the countertype of the three One personalities. The Sexual One is impatient, can be invasive, goes for what he or she wants, and has a sense of entitlement. These Ones have an intensity of desire fueled by anger that motivates them to want to improve others. This can be expressed as a sense of excitement, passion, or idealism about the way things could be if people would reform their behavior, or if the reforms they envision were enacted by society. This makes them compelling and vehement." (Beatrice Chestnut) I thought this was fairly accurate. TL;DR - If you really analyze Agent Smith's motivations as a character, you'll come to realize that he's an xNTJ 1w9.
