What personality type is David Simon? David Simon is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sp/so - 145 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
He does have something similar to the ENFP 'Te b*tch slap' (as anyone who followed him on Twitter could tell you) but INTJ definitely fits him better. When he's combative with posters or interviewers, he tends to cite data rather than using logic, and it's to support his Fi convictions. Although <i>The Wire</i> strives to be balanced in its portrayal various competing interests, he's said in an interview he sees his own show as 'propaganda' - and there are definitely times when it moves away from Ti objectivity and toward editorialising, with the most Ti-coded character (the academic in S4) portrayed as ineffectual and out of touch. So definitely not an INTP. Ni is harder to spot than Te, but I certainly don't see much Ne in him. His analyses of institutions, and his pessimism regarding how those same systems will stop serving the public and instead focus on protecting themselves, feels like an outlook borne out of Ni.
