just remembering how i was upset when i joined in this site because narcissus had a profile and echo don't had one. when she is so much better than him. it's my fav myth because I've heard from my father since I was just a little kid. echo is extremely pure Fe, more focused on others than on herself. it's literally tragic. she protected the other nymphs from wrath of Hera for being betrayed by Zeus (again) and lost her ability to speech. being able to distract a god so well sounds to me like a great use of Fe-Ne. about enneagram, the core desire of type 2 fits well because this woman basically *dies* when her love was unrequited. also, her functions are the opposite to narcissus: Fe-Si-Ne-Ti and Fi-Se-Ni-Te. edit: well, I'm not sure about her enneagram wing now, but she is clearly a type 2... her myth is more about others, her sacrifice to death. when echo was deprived of speech, she find narcissisus and used that platonic love as a crutch. the rejection was when she lost the most important thing to her for second time, then she didn't had reasons to live anymore.
Biography
Echo was an nymph who resided on Mount Cithaeron. She was cursed by Hera, who made her only able to speak the last words spoken to her.
