Ik that a lot of people hate the fact that Gulenko types a lot of people as EIEs, LSIs, ILIs and SEEs (the "Big Four" hypothesis) but there are reasons for this. Gulenko types most people as central process types because centrals are good at dealing with hierarchies and managing power (these are extremely vital things in societies). Process types are very good at dealing with complex structures and being methodical and detail-oriented and again this is also very valued in our society. Process types also know how to integrate into large groups and they care about reputation, image and building structures and maintaining them. All of these things are very valued in societies and these traits are essential for having a functional society. There is also a reason why Gulenko types most famous people as EIEs. EIEs being very common among famous people, comedians and actors makes a lot of sense because the E(-) base loves attention, drama and controversy. Yes, Gulenko is often wrong about his typings (for example, I disagree with his typing of Bill Gates and so do many SHS users) but the old man has reasons to support his "Big Four" hypothesis and he has a lot of cool ideas about Socionics.
