What personality type is Shimazaki Touson? Shimazaki Touson is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 549 in Enneagram, in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
He is a very typical INTP character who looks like he just stepped out of an MBTI manual. As far as I know, he is the most typical INTP. He fits perfectly into many of the descriptions of INTPs in the MBTI books, and I can describe him in terms of function. If he is not an INTP, then what is an INTP? Ne stands out a bit because of his interviewing habits, but thinking for himself is at the core of who he is. Even in the anime, he thinks deeply and hypothesises many times before and after the interviews. There are many lines in the game where he spills out questions as if he were talking to himself instead of talking with others. Thinking by himself is natural and fun for him, I guess. It is the most necessary aspect for Ti. Ti-dom is particular about the definitions of words and the basis of thought theories. ex: In episode 2 of the anime, he reacted immediately to the counterexample of the cat and the monster cat. And which is probably why he was interested in Akutagawa. Akutagawa is a counterexample of his own ideas. Although he appears to be unsociable and expressionless, he is trying to see his surroundings and consider the others. We can see this from his encouragement and tease for Tokuda, or his response to Akutagawa in the anime. But he doesn't look like it because of his strong orientation toward Thinking. It is typical of Fe-inf. He also insists that a writer should not deny his own style. So he may seem laid-back, but he has a strong core. Typically, It's Ti-dom or Fi-dom, not Ne-dom. In any case, these traits are more fit for Ti than in Ne or Fi. If he was ENTP, ENTP is Si-inf, but I can't see the Si-inf aspect in him. So I decide he is an INTP. I'm still trying to decide what type of socionics he has, but I think he is an Alpha Quadra.
