Akai Shuichi has not demonstrated long-term Ni planning. What is long-term Ni planning? It refers to goal-oriented blueprints—breaking down objectives into interlocking steps. I found no evidence in the source material of him having 'a complete, long-term, self-orchestrated PLAN.' Every plan he executes involves collaborators, which fundamentally contradicts Ni-dom (especially Ni-Fi) behavior. 1 The fake-death plan was co-created with Conan. Initially, he didn’t inform the FBI, later altering it mid-course (Spontaneity > Planning). The plan itself emerged randomly from Kir’s accident, capitalizing on timing (Spontaneity > Planning). If he were Planning >Spontaneity, the fake death should’ve been part of a broader long-term plan（first、then、later on)——for finding father. But plan to cut FBI ties undermines this—if the FBI was useless for finding father, why join it? If he could discard his FBI identity so easily, doesn’t that imply joining was itself a impromptu plan? If even joining the FBI was an impromptu plan, it’s hard to believe he had any structured, long-term interlocking-steps strategy for locating his father. While curiosity can manifest through Ti, it could also appear as Fi-Te/Te-Fi patterns - where love/hate toward an individual (Fi) drives objective inquiry (Te). However, making curiosity the fundamental motivation is only possible for Te-dominant or Fi-dominant types, not INTJs, because Te-Fi/Fi-Te occupy positions 1-4, which constitute the psychological driving force. The INTJ's fundamental motivation comes from the vision provided by Ni-Se - they develop curiosity about something specifically to advance that vision. If an INTJ were to describe their core motivation, it would be closer to "unwavering conviction born of faith." Curiosity = Ti Fever = SE "I need to understand what really happened to my father (Ti). To achieve this, I'm filled with adrenaline, ready to fight to the death (Se)." This demonstrates clear Ti motivation: "I seek - the truth" rather than Ni: "I believe - my father isn't dead." The determination and resolve stemming from Ti is identical to that from Ni. In reality, any function in the 1st position will create the same level of obsession and determination. Those who type Akai as INTJ reduce his Ti and Se to: "He went to America for thrills, joined the FBI out of curiosity, and his 18-year mission was just a series of coincidences." [Spoilers Below] Shuichi Akai (赤井 秀一 Akai Shūichi?) is an FBI agent and a major figure in the battle against the Black Organization. He once assumed the identity of Dai Moroboshi (諸星 大 Moroboshi Dai?) and infiltrated the Organization, where he was given the codename Rye (ライ Rai?). During this time he made enemies with Gin and became romantically involved with Akemi Miyano. He is the older brother of Shukichi Haneda and Masumi Sera.
