This is the biggest 5 to ever 5. Just because someone is philosophical doesn’t immediately make them a 1w9. Andy is seen as cold and detached, his way of surviving is to alienate and observe. When he insults Boggs, he does so by attacking his intelligence by saying "You know how to read you ######## ####?". Andy climbs the prison staff’s hierarchy through the information he can provide them. He spends his free time reading, playing chess and studying geology. He can be stubborn like a 1 for sure, but social 5’s also have difficulty renouncing their theories. You could reference Andy fighting for the library as a sign of persistence, a very 1 quality, but you have to remember what he’s fighting for: access to knowledge.
