(disclaimer before start: i don't know him personally, all of the statements below are purely my observation and understanding of the character he shows us, i'm not claiming anything to be true. also my tone might sound off but i'm not trying to be mean, just trying to understand where some people are coming from, also this is very messy sorry for the hard read lmao) this is a genuine question can anyone who type him an INFP eii sp9 evfl give a reasonable argument other than stereotypes? i think his ne dom and base is really clear where do you see fi dom/base? his enneagram is arguable but he's definitely NOT a enneagram 9 let alone a sp9, i'm still in between sp2 and sx7 (leaning more towards sp2 recently) and for god's sake how's he 2V4L he's like THE process logic, 2L so clear especially look at his dynamic with dan and don't tell me that's not basically two 1E2L's banter. you can clearly tell how dan is a process will (3V) and phil is result will (4V) i think the bed video shows that clearly and that's a key point of their dynamic to me. i know i'm not exactly giving arguments here but that's not my point anyway, my point is to question people who type him as INFP eii sp9 evfl to think about their typing again and come up with a proper argument cuz saying "i dont think he's si inf" is not enough proof to type him as an INFP cuz at the end of the day dominant function matters the most and for him i can't see anything but obvious ne, his fi is not that strong just because he's "introverted". the guy is full of ideas and possibilities where's his strong sense of personal morals and in touchness with emotion?? not saying he's not those things he definitely uses high fi just its not his dominant function. also a person being calm doesn't make them an enneagram 9 especially sp9 he doesn't even fit the stereotypes of sp9 where did this consensus come from? because he likes physical comfort and calmer compared to dan? i'm not even gonna mention that intuitive types can't be e9 cuz i know some people here don't believe that (despite it being basically a fact and all the strong arguments but i'm not here to discuss this), but put that aside e9's neurosis is disconnecting from their feelings as a coping mechanism (the reason why core 9 can't be fi base also btw) and phil is actually very well aware of himself and his feelings. especially sp9s would turn to physical comfort during times of stress to disconnect from themselves and i think this is one of the main reasons why the consensus is sp9 cuz phil is known to be a person who likes physical things but, don't we all? his process physics would also explain that. phil enjoys physical comfort simply because he does, just like an average person. a sp9 would mainly turn to the physical world to ignore the strong emotions. i think another reason is his, well, "peacemaker" attitude but i think this can be explained better with core 2, especially after this week's hard launch and phil saying he wants to be liked by people. i'm still new on the sp2 typing so i don't have strong supporting arguments yet but i'll update as soon as i can, but especially after post hard launch his core 2 is becoming more obvious to me and i think basing our judgement of his type post hard launch is healthier cuz he's at his most authentic self right now.
