"Welcher Persönlichkeitstyp ist {profilename}? {profilename} ist ein {MBTI} -Persönlichkeitstyp in MBTI, {enneagram} - {iv} - {tritype} in EnneArgram, {big5} in Big 5, {socionics} in Socionics."

[1/2] ¶ Really, people need to stop equating social introversion with cognitive extroversion. I’m still toying with the idea that he’s a 5 core, albeit a social 5 (somewhat more outward facing) and has an obsession with “high ideals” towards ideas and such, which he demonstrates through his idolization of Sherlock Holmes and the detective profession. ➼ But a lot of arguments that talk about his obsessions towards his interests, nerdiness and constant speaking of them, or pursuit of ideas over emotions and such as Ti-dom really conflate cognition with certain facets of enneagram and their strengths/weaknesses. And the conflation of the end result of his thought process to Ti-dom too, when reaching a conclusion is what his job entails. ➼ Stop comparing him with those 7w8 ENTPs for goodness sake, saying that they don't *act* similarly. Of course they don't, they have different fundamental motivations, coping mechanisms, vices, etc. due to their enneagram. You need to look underneath and see that their cognitive function preferences align more than their demeanors do. ====== ¶ Even by cognitive extroversion, Shinichi (and specifically him, we can discuss Conan on his page) gets excited by external potentials and has an urge to apply his logic to the external world in order to reach satisfaction (especially through the positive feedback from other people), rather than overly prioritizing the development of his inner logic and principles to the point where it may not be communicated as clearly and understandably to others. This is Ti and Fe working in tandem (without Fe inferior), along with Ne. ➼ He soaks in the attention and praise as value input for his work, and is far more “fed” by it than a Ti-dom would, while also adjusting his presentation to make his work easy to understand for the masses. The Ti-dom distrusts and somewhat devalues sentimental appeal for the presentation of the hard logic itself, and doesn’t naturally take the route of prioritizing how others receive it. ➼ You can see that in the first case of the entire series, Shinichi loves to take a more “showy” route in order to make others get his deductions, implicating his focus on the states of others, as well as a Pe-dom mindset that believe everything is objectively out there—you just have to make them *see* it. He also considers their feeling input on the value of his work, like how well-liked he is by the general public and such. Some additional detail and citations here, especially from @[bambs]: https://www.personality-database.com/comment/3331689 ======= As Michael Pierce says: “ The ENTP, aided by Fe, often has an ability to express themselves very clearly and understandably. They simplify, unify, and present in well-dressed packages their ideas and concerns, and can bring down to earth the most super-earthly concepts. Of course the gift of explanation is not limited to ENTPs, but it often manifests in their case in a peculiarly clear and down-to-earth way. Tertiary Fe This clarity is not wholly the result of Ti, however, but is just as much the result of unrepressed Fe. The two work together in the ENTP to make them solid presenters of information, able to pick apart a topic and package it in such a way that it gets across to other people in a pleasing way. In general, the ENTP, no matter how reserved or brooding they may be, generally is able to present themselves in a very nice and pleasant way.” ➼ One argument for Ne in an INTP even says this, which is clearly conflating Ne with Fe’s focus on others in his work: “On a brighter note, Ne is also where [his] amazing snark and his penchant for theatrics and drama come from.”
