i don't see the dominant Ni or tertiary Fi, at all. "having a plan" doesn't immediately translate into "Ni dom with vision for the future aaa!!" -- especially not when said vision is less of a set path for himself and the community at large but more of a limited, almost desperate plan to save two friends he cares about and nothing more. he cares about emma and norman, he wants them to have a chance at life, but he doesn't account for anything beyond their escape and doesn't even plan on being with them for it. a plan is allowed to be a plan without being a grand vision for the future lol. ray spends most of his time before the series planning alone, relying on dominant Ti (his strong sense of logic and hours spent studying in the library) along with tertiary Si (his detailed recollection of how he first entered the farm) in a sort of Ti-Si loop, emotionally distancing himself from the other children because he knows the truth of the farm and what really happens to every child there eventually. his introverted realm is one of Ti and Si, which translates into a personal quest for knowledge to better understand the circumstances of his early life and the truth of the farm. the loop makes him very cynical and somewhat tunnel-visioned, shutting down his auxiliary Ne and convincing him his plan is the only way things can work. he refuses to consider emma or norman's perspectives (hampered Ne) and avoids growing too close with any of the others (hampered Fe). but once norman's plan works and ray makes it out with the others, he breaks out of the Ti-Si loop, becoming much more cooperative, willing to hear his allies' ideas while planning (Ne), and determined to protect his family (Fe). ray has not once shown any indication of using a subjective moral system to justify the sacrifices he made over the years, claiming "it's fine this way" in reference to his own death because he "used" his family for years. that's not tertiary Fi.
Biografie
Ray (レイ, Rei) is one of the deuteragonists of The Promised Neverland alongside with Norman. Ray is a model student of Grace Field House, who consistently gets perfect scores during the daily exams. He is also known for being an avid reader with high intellectual abilities, blunt skepticism, and cunning. Despite his distant disposition, Ray is able to interact well with the orphans and is fiercely loyal and caring to particularly Emma and Norman. #MariyaIse
