Jimmy’s brain blast isn’t Ni-Se, he has to work hard to CONSCIOUSLY find the connections in his head while a big part of the definition of Ni is that it occurs in the unconscious. Ni dominant impressions are drawn from Se’s immediate gathering of sensory data, so the impressions happen almost instantaneously and out of the user’s control, and because Se is inferior the user isn’t consciously aware of where they got the impression from, so they have to consciously work to figure out the Se data that explains the impression AFTER it’s already occurred. Jimmy has to work using his Ti analysis in order to access his Ne connections from Si past experiences to arrive at a logical solution. Compare this to how the titular character of Malcolm in the Middle, who is pretty undisputed as an INTP, explains how his brain works: “When I’m thinking *really* hard, my brain starts making all these connections, and those connections make other connections and everything starts moving really fast and it feels like a bomb’s going off.” 👈 That’s a brain blast right there 🙌
