Of all characters in GoT I disliked him the most. Seemingly so good and well-meaning, but in real he was a dangerous, merciless fanatic.
Biografie
The High Sparrow (real name unknown) was a High Septon of the Faith of the Seven and the leader of the Sparrows. He brought upon radical reforms in his tenure, like the reestablishment of the Faith Militant, whereby he threatened the authority of the secular lords of the realm, including that of the royal family. He managed to unite the commonfolk against the aristocrats and preached a return to original values. He died at the explosion of the Great Sept of Baelor at the hands of Cersei Lannister.
