“So, the only thing you can tell me is that I will find Jabba at Jabba’s Palace?” MBTI —> Ti-Fe —o—> “To bring him to them, Maul and Opress travel to a village on the planet Raydonia, slaughter the inhabitants and send a hologram message to the Jedi Temple, challenging Obi-Wan to come to them.” (S4-E22): I don’t know, this seems *really* to spell out inferior Fe to me, using a subjectively evaluated practice per Ti speculation and strategy with no remorse for killing others in order to fulfill a personal agenda, and the way he explains it to his brother, Savage Opress, too is rather cold and calculated; I feel like Darth Maul would have more of an emotional conscious about his actions if were to have tertiary Fi, but this was a strategic movie to draw in Master Kenobi. —> Ti-Se —o—> “Maul loses one of his cybernetic legs in the escape and is then carried by Opress. Despite this, the brothers manage to reach their ship and take off when Maul delays their pursuers by toppling the Jedi's shuttle from a plateau to cut them off.” (S5-E1): This is another can of worms, but I’m skeptical if there really are such things as “loops” and “grips” in MBTI (yes, I’m a Redditor) as I don’t think Darth Maul’s auxiliary Se is entirely repressed, but more so faulty — for example, he overlooked a more realistic grasp on the fact that the pirates defected back over to Hondo Ohnaka’s authority but then took an environmentally adaptive approach to escape complete slaughter and destroy Master Kenobi’s ship, so his practicality is give-or-take. —> Ti-Ni —o—> “Maul replies that Skywalker is the key to destroying the Sith and that he has long been groomed for his role as Sidious' new apprentice.” (S7-E10): Right, *Ni*, the magic voodoo function… No, Darth Maul’s use of Ni is very much childish and haphazard, unhealthy and desperately grasping onto hasty insights into the Force in the likeness of being delusional, he’s trying to pawn after Darth Sidious’s mastermind Ni-Te ability as it was Darth Sidious’s power exacerbated his Enneagram 8 fear of being controlled, so Darth Maul himself is grasping at straws with it to help him clamber for power— the telling differences in ability is that Darth Sidious was able to say and express the right things to get Anakin on track to his decline into Darth Vader, whereas Darth Maul almost had a grasp on Ahsoka to join his side, but then said the wrong thing to turn her against him concerning Anakin. ENNEAGRAM —> 8 - Motivations and Fears —o—> “When Opress talks to him, Maul tells him in between his mad ravings about how he was reduced to this pitiful state and that he seeks revenge on the Jedi, especially the one who did this to him.” (S4-E21): So, I think what ultimately still sets Darth Maul apart from the current popular vote 3w4 as an 8w9 is the literal fucking fact that his anger through the Dark Side is what kept him alive; in fact, I should credit user @rab1ez for pointing out the very strong insight about Darth Maul seeking instinctual revenge for being cast aside as a tool of being controlled— he’s not so entangled with a fear of failure or being unworthy. —> 8 - “Externalized” Anger —o—> “After Obi-Wan refuses and berates Maul as weak for choosing the dark side, Maul draws and ignites the Darksaber while pulling Satine towards the weapon, impaling the Duchess.” (S5-16): Okay, for the particular context and timeframe from this scene in “The Lawless”, I specifically mean to reference when Master Kenobi attempts to provide sympathy for Darth Maul about the choice to choose the Dark Side was forced upon him by the Nightsisters— this triggers an inward insecurity within Darth Maul regarding his tormented feelings, so he lashes out with defiant anger to reject this insecurity. —> 8 - Wing 9 —o—> “As Gar Saxon and his warriors attack, Tano tells Bo-Katan to go because her people need her, eventually convincing her to leave.” (S7-E10): I understand the quote doesn’t mention Darth Maul— it’s supposed to be contextual dammit; remember when Darth Maul told Bo-Katan not to stay on his account, the Ahsoka and he would be alright— I think this just proves to show how much of a Wing 9 Darth Maul is, knowing when to channel his authoritative stances in preserving a twisted sense of “peace” — another example would be from Season 5’s “Eminence” when stopped Savage Opress and Pre Vizsla from pursuing the bounty hunters as they have “no allegiance”.
